Sarah was amazing with my 8 year old son, she very quickly established a rapport with him, so that he was at ease and able to give his best in the screening. The report was so helpful to both my son, myself and the school. The findings were clearly explained so that I am better able to understand his needs, and was invaluable when it came to me being better equipped to communicate clearly with the school. We had a meeting and, due to Sarah’s findings and suggestions, a plan was put in place to address each area. This has meant his school day not only addresses his educational needs, but also means I have a calmer, happier child outside of school due to his sensory and kinaesthetic needs being met. We’ve obviously got a long way to go still, but I’m confident we are going in the right direction now. When he missed a whole hour of PE , his behaviour that night was very emotional and it gave me the confidence to refer back to Sarah's report and insist the school don’t miss out movement breaks for him again.

I can't thank Sarah enough for what she did for my daughter, as she was falling behind at school, losing confidence and wanting to give up altogether.

Sarah didn’t just give her an assessment, she took time to get to know her and find out what her hobbies, interests and strengths were at school. She gave her good advice and after each test she explained what the results were and my daughter understood why she was finding work so difficult. The important thing is that she realised that she was not the only person to experience these difficulties and that with the correct support she could do as well as her peers.

She came out of Sarah’s office with confidence to carry on her education; she accepts that it’s not going to be easy but she is prepared to put in the extra work to achieve the results she needs. I was able to give a copy of the in depth assessment to my daughter’s school, who have now put her on their SEN register and are able to support her in class and give her some extra time for tests.

My daughter is now back on track with her school work, had a great end of year report and is looking forward to starting year 9.
